New restaurant in Uptown - Obanhmi Vietnamese Sandwiches

Two ambitious Vietnamese youth have started the Obanhmi Vietnamese Sandwiches Restaurant in Jalan SS21/56B in Damansara Uptown.

Both Chris Bui and Daniel Nguyen were not originally involved in the Food & Beverage industry but in their younger days in Saigon, they found banh mi (Vietnamese baguette sandwich) so good that they would eat it everyday. But from young, they had always wanted to start their own business and decided to start their banh mi business here in Malaysia as they found a lack of banh mi outlets here.

Banh mi are Vietnamese version of the French baguette but less dense but with a crispy crust. These baguette are baked fresh in the restaurant itself.

The fillings - pork meat and liver pate, mayonnaise and carrot and daikon salad are all also made in-house.
