Spicy Cauliflower Fried ice at The Salad Bar

Fried rice must always have rice, right? Otherwise why would it be called fried rice?

Not so, says The Salad Bar at Damansara Uptown. Let's us make fried rice with cauliflower instead and thus Garlic Cauliflower Fried Rice and Spicy Cauliflower Fried Rice got invented at The Salad Bar.

James Tan of The Malaysian Insider reviewed The Salad Bar and chose Spicy Cauliflower Fried Rice from among a variety of salads, sandwiches and juices. It sure looked like fried rice as the cauliflower had been chopped into tiny pieces just like rice. It also have chopped carrots, peas, corn, slivers of mushroom, egg, cili padi and diced chicken breast, even a large iceberg lettuce leaf but no rice.

James verdict of the fried rice dish without rice? Taste great like any good Yangzhou Fried Rice, and only 205 kCals per serving.
